Serious Bone Fishing

the island of my birth and childhood. We have Bone fished here ever since I can remember, only difference is we didn't have any poles, we used a hand line. Needless to say, Acklins Islanders "KNOW HOW AND WHERE" to catch Bone fish and I give you my personal guarantee you won't be disappointed if you come and fish with us.

Acklins Island is unique in that the shallow gradient of it's flats allow anglers to wade for Bone fish 100% of the fishing day. Without a doubt, Acklins is a wade fisherman's paradise. You will travel to the flats in Bay Skiffs with Yamaha motors and the ride from your accommodations to the closest flats is about 10-15 minutes. Outer flats may take up to 30 min to reach. Because of the very skinny water where the Bone fish feed, you might want to bring some smaller (size 6-8) unweighted (eyeless) flies. The Bone fishing day is usually about 8 hrs. long and anglers usually return between 4:30 and 6pm. However, we are here to please you, so adjustments can always be made at your request.

How would you like to start your day off with this view every morning?

Even if you want to bring your family and they don't share your love for Bone fishing, don't worry. This is the perfect place to get away from the maddening rush of every day life and relax for a few days. It is remote and quiet and, whether you want to or not, the only thing you can do is get off that tread mill of life and come to a full stop for a few days and unwind. From the lodge you can follow the path down the hill to the ocean where you will find miles on undisturbed beach, there you can swim, sun bathe, of just let the sound of the gentle waves of the sea lure you into a little nap. Don't worry about being alone on the beach, it's safe. Acklins is one of those rare places left on earth that hasn't been tainted by the times we are living in. Maybe you want to explore our caves,

Well that's exactly what you will be doing for the days you are with us in Acklins. Your accommodations sit pristinely on the highest and narrowest part of Acklins offering you a spectacular, panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean to the East and the Bight of Acklins to the West.

The lodge is fairly new and consists of 5 small cottages.

visit our world famous "Blue Holes", or just take a walk and chat with the friendly locals. So come on, what are you waiting for, come and enjoy a little preview of paradise.
